Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Outfitly (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use our mobile application (“App”) and related services. By using the App, you agree to this policy.
1. Who we are
Outfitly helps you discover clothing from photos, explore product matches, and use optional AI-powered features such as virtual try-on. The App is operated by the publisher identified in the App Store listing.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the App, we may process:
- Account information. If you create an account, we collect identifiers and contact information you provide (for example, email address) and authentication data from sign-in providers you choose (such as Apple Sign In).
- Photos and images. With your permission, we access the camera and photo library so you can scan outfits, upload reference images, and (if you use the feature) provide a photo for virtual try-on. Images you submit may be stored on our servers to provide the service.
- Profile and preferences. Information you provide in onboarding or settings, such as display name, size preferences, style preferences, or similar fields used to personalize results.
- Usage and product analytics. We use analytics tools to understand how the App is used (for example, screens viewed and feature usage) so we can improve stability and product experience. We use this for our own product analytics, not to sell your personal information.
- Device and technical data. Standard technical information such as device type, operating system version, and diagnostic data may be collected by our service providers to operate and secure the App.
- Purchase information. If you subscribe, Apple (or Google on Android) processes payment. We receive subscription status through our payment partner to unlock paid features.
3. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App and its features;
- Authenticate you and secure your account;
- Run AI and search features (for example, detecting items in images, finding similar products, and generating try-on previews where available);
- Store your saved items, scans, and related content you choose to keep;
- Communicate with you about support or important service notices;
- Comply with law and enforce our terms.
4. Service providers and third parties
We use trusted third-party services to run the App. They process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards. These may include:
- Supabase — authentication, database, file storage, and server-side functions.
- OpenAI — processing images for certain AI features (such as virtual try-on), where those features are enabled.
- Search and product data providers — for example, services that help find product listings and shopping links from images or queries (such as SerpAPI or similar integrations we use from time to time).
- Stock imagery — for example, Pexels or similar sources for discover or inspiration content, where applicable.
- PostHog — product analytics and event data to improve the App.
- RevenueCat — subscription status and in-app purchase management across platforms.
When you open shopping links, you interact with third-party merchants and websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.
5. Legal bases (EEA, UK, Switzerland)
Where required, we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the App), legitimate interests (security, analytics, and improvement, balanced against your rights), consent (where we ask for it, such as optional permissions), and legal obligations.
6. Retention
We keep information only as long as needed to provide the App, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may delete your account from the App where available; we will delete or anonymize personal data associated with your account subject to technical and legal requirements.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
8. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, email joshyattridge@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps.
9. International transfers
Our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal information;
- Object to or restrict certain processing;
- Port your data where applicable;
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
You can manage some choices in your device settings (camera, photos, tracking). You may also email us at joshyattridge@gmail.com or use our Support page.
11. California (U.S.)
California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including to know, delete, and opt out of certain sharing (we do not “sell” personal information as traditionally defined, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising). Email joshyattridge@gmail.com to exercise these rights.
12. Apple App Store
If you download the App from Apple’s App Store, Apple may collect usage and diagnostic information in accordance with Apple’s privacy policy. Apple is not responsible for this Privacy Policy or our practices.
13. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the revised policy.
